Warminster CCTV were able to provide vital assistance as the partnership with Warminster Police continues.

Waitrose contacted Warminster CCTV via Shopwatch radio, a man was tracked to his car and registration passed to police.

A man was arrested following a report of theft from Waitrose in Warminster earlier this week.

We received a report regarding the theft of baby milk from the store on June 17.

Officers carried out enquiries and stopped a Renault Scenic at Deptford a short time later.

Approximately ยฃ1,000 worth of baby milk powder was located inside the vehicle.

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of theft and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and no insurance, and the vehicle was seized.

The man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"Warminster CCTV is instrumental in this initiative, offering comprehensive surveillance across Warminster and Westbury"

This week, as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, PCSO Revers visited Warminster CCTV.

The significance of CCTV in crime deterrence and evidence collection cannot be overstated, as it serves as a crucial resource in both preventing and investigating criminal activities.

Warminster CCTV is instrumental in this initiative, offering comprehensive surveillance across Warminster and Westbury. Their collaboration with Warminster Police and various partners is essential in addressing issues such as shoplifting, anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, and public order offences.

These collective efforts contribute to fostering environments where residents feel safe and supported. The ongoing partnership remains vital in ensuring the safety of our communities.

An exciting Roarminster Loyalty Card with a top prize of a ยฃ500 voucher (to spend in participating businesses in the town) will join the exciting dinosaur themed events scheduled this summer in Warminster.

Warminster Town Council has funded a fun dinosaur trail with the town set to be transformed from Warminster to Roarminster: Warminster's Dinosaur Trail - with the installation of five impressive dinosaur models from Saturday 11th July until Saturday 5th September.

The dinosaur-themed loyalty card initiative run by Warminster Business Network (WBN), will launch prior to Roarminster and is designed to encourage residents and visitors to spend local with repeat visits to the town.

Spend ยฃ10 with a participating business, receive a stamp, collect 10 stamps and be in with a chance of winning a ยฃ500 voucher (terms and conditions apply). Participating businesses will be announced shortly.

The WBN is continuing to work with local businesses, restaurants, pubs and cafes to help increase exposure and benefit all during and after the dinosaur trail, with further details set to be announced.

Matt Towl, Chair of WBN, explained: โ€œThe Roarminster Loyalty Card is a great example of what can be achieved when local businesses and the town council work together.

โ€œBy encouraging residents and visitors to spend locally and experience the full range of businesses that make Warminster unique, we're helping to keep more spending in the town, support local enterprises and create reasons for people to come back and visit again.

"The beauty of the scheme is its simplicity. Residents and visitors are already spending money in Warminster every day, and this is a fun way of rewarding them for doing so locally.

โ€œSpend ยฃ10 with a participating business, collect your stamps and you'll be in with a chance of winning, while helping to support the diverse businesses that make our town special."

Roarminster will take over the town with shop windows decorated, plenty of photo opportunities and a selection of dinosaur books available to borrow at Warminster Library (Three Horseshoes Walk, Warminster, BA12 9BT).

Visitors and residents will be encouraged to explore the town, find and learn about the different dinosaurs, enter a prize draw and take part in fun activities throughout the summer holidays.

'๐“๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐›๐ž ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ž๐ง๐ฃ๐จ๐ฒ'

Cllr Jack Jones, Mayor of Warminster added: โ€œRoarminster will transform the town into a dinosaur-themed adventure throughout the summer. From dinosaur trails and competitions to exhibitions, workshops, lectures and family activities, there will be something for all ages to enjoy.

โ€œIt is exactly the kind of imaginative, community-focused event that helps create lasting memories while encouraging people to explore everything Warminster has to offer.

โ€œI am delighted to see the proposed Roarminster Loyalty Card scheme being brought forward by the Warminster Business Network.

โ€œThe idea is simple but effective โ€“ encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses, discover new shops and venues, and keep more spending within our local economy.

"It is a great example of how community events can benefit not only families and visitors but also the businesses that are at the heart of our town.โ€

The event trail will officially launch at a brand-new festival: Warminster YouthFest held in the Lake Pleasure Grounds on Saturday 11th July, with the dinosaur models remaining in the town until Saturday 5th September. The dinosaur trail route will be fully covered by Warminster CCTV.

Warminster Town Council members unanimously supported the Warminster Business Network and their Roarminster Loyalty Card proposal at the Town Development Committee on Monday 1st June 2026.

The annual tradition of local schoolchildren planting flowers in the Lake Pleasure Grounds returned on Friday 5th June.

Warminster Town Council has invited local schoolchildren to plant in the park since the popular initiative was introduced in 2016.

The town council pays for the plants and encourages local children to get involved in shaping the Lake Pleasure Grounds, taking pride in the community asset.

Children from Barney Lodge Nursery, New Close School Warminster and St Georgeโ€™s Catholic Primary School were the first to fill flower beds with creative designs โ€“ helping to brighten up the park.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: โ€œThe Lake Pleasure Grounds is constantly evolving but we are delighted to continue this wonderful initiative working with local schools to plant flowers around the park.

โ€œWe take great pride in maintaining our much-loved community asset and working with the next generation.โ€

Schoolchildren from Warminster will continue planting in the Lake Pleasure Grounds next week.
