👋🏼 Last week, we said farewell to one of our wonderful colleagues, Trish.

After more than 14 years with Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, Trish has decided to begin an exciting new chapter closer to home in North Wales.

🚒 During her time with the Service, Trish made a lasting impact in a variety of roles. She began her journey working with the Prince's Trust Teams, played a key role as Deputy Leader on one of the Fire Cadets' trips to Nepal, and spent many years supporting young people as an Education Officer within Early Intervention.

Through her hard work, dedication, and commitment, Trish has made a real difference to the lives of countless young people across Cheshire. She has been a valued colleague, a supportive team member, and a friendly face to many at Safety Central and throughout the Service.

Trish will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of working with her.

🥰 Thank you, Trish, for everything you have contributed over the years. We wish you every success and happiness in your new adventure. Good luck for the future!

Today, Charlotte from Safety Central travelled to London to attend the Fire Setters Intervention Meeting hosted by London Fire Brigade🚒

The meeting brought together professionals and partners from across the country to share best practice, discuss current challenges, and explore effective approaches to fire-setting prevention and intervention. These valuable discussions help strengthen collaborative working and ensure that those involved in fire safety education and intervention continue to deliver the best possible support within their communities.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a fantastic group from Cheshire Buddies, Crewe, to Safety Central. They had a fabulous time learning important safety messages while enjoying an engaging and interactive visit.

A special thank you to Steph, one of our wonderful volunteer Rangers, who expertly guided the group throughout the session and helped make the experience both enjoyable and informative.

We loved having you all with us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 😊

At Safety Central, our learning doesn't stop after the visit! 🚒

Around three months after their Safety Central experience, we revisit primary learners in school to see what important safety messages they can remember by retaking our quiz. We also take the opportunity to discuss additional topics including the dangers of deliberate fire setting, anti-social behaviour, and staying safe around water. 💧🔥
Last week, Clare visited Year 6 pupils from Grappenhall Heys Primary School and St Augustine's Catholic Primary School in Warrington, and was incredibly impressed by how much they remembered from their Safety Central visit. Their fantastic quiz scores and excellent engagement showed just how well these vital safety messages have stuck! 👏

The new academic year is officially underway at Safety Central!

✅ Our first older uniformed group, Martlet Explorers from Winnington, took on the Escape to Safety challenge with brilliant teamwork and determination.

✅ We also welcomed Northwich & Weaver Probus as our first Safer Together group of the year, helping to spread important safety awareness within our local community.

Thank you to both groups for being part of such a fantastic start to the year. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings! Thanks also to our amazing Volunteer Rangers for expertly guiding the groups around the Centre😊

🤩 What a fantastic start to the new academic year!

We were delighted to welcome Year 5 pupils from Hill View Primary School, Runcorn, for a fun and informative day of safety education.

Supported by our wonderful volunteer Rangers Barbara, Mary and Keith, the pupils took part in our newly enhanced programmes, including first aid for bleeding injuries, understanding the consequences of shoplifting, and learning how to be emergency ready with a grab bag.

🙌🏽 All sessions received great feedback, and the learners impressed us throughout the day with their enthusiasm and participation.

🌟 The highlight? An outstanding 95% score in the end-of-day quiz! Congratulations to everyone involved.

Today we’re celebrating the incredible work of all those who help keep our communities safe. ❤️
At Safety Central, we’re proud to be part of the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service family, working alongside our partners at North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and Cheshire Constabulary to promote safety, prevent incidents and support our communities.
And we couldn’t do it without our fantastic volunteers, who give their time, enthusiasm and expertise to help make a real difference. 🙌
A huge thank you to everyone involved in keeping people safe — together, we really are Safer Together! 💙

🚒 What a fantastic day at Safety Central!

We teamed up with Lymm Fire Station & Red Watch for our joint Open Day, giving SEND educational groups the chance to explore the Centre and experience first-hand what life as a firefighter is all about.🚒

From watching a dramatic car driver extraction and a chip pan fire demonstration to having fun using the fire hoses, there was plenty to see and do.
🥰 A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Rangers, who helped guide learners around the Centre and ensured everyone had a memorable visit.

It’s great to welcome colleagues from NWAS and Midwifery back to Safety Central for another joint training day! Our immersive areas are being used to bring scenarios to life, creating realistic experiences that support learning, teamwork, and confidence in practice👶🏽🚑
