We are taking the decision to cancel the transition event on Thursday due to the extreme weather. The temperature at 15.00-17.00 is at its peak and we have to consider the health and safety of the young people walking to and from the school and everyone in school who will also be exhausted from the heat. We apologise for this and hope you understand.

Good afternoon. Our students can wear Boteler PE kit all week due to the hot weather. A decision will be taken on Friday regarding the following week. Just a polite reminder that students in KS3 must wear the navy-blue PE socks. Students in KS4 can wear black or white sports socks. Cycling shorts are not permitted. If a student wishes to wear uniform that is fine, but a tie and or blazer is not required. Bags and equipment are essential as usual. Please ensure that all students have water bottles and that they bring sun cream. We are trying to keep the building cool and have purchased fans for the rooms which are very warm. Thank you for your support. Any changes then we will communicate this to you. Please get in touch if we can help in any way.

Our Year 10 boys rugby team concluded our rugby fixtures for this academic year yesterday afternoon. Against a strong Bridgewater team, who have regularly been champions of the town, they went try for try for almost all of the game. They came up just short, losing the fixture 10 tries to 12.

Thank you for your producing an outstanding performance, showing true Boteler grit and tenacity. Also a big well done to two Year 9 students, Siyraj and Kingston, for stepping up at the last minute! 🏉
