Warwickshire Local Area SEND Partnership has welcomed the publication of its latest Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection of services for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

In its first inspection under the new national framework, which introduces three possible outcomes rather than a single overall rating, Warwickshire was assessed as meeting the ‘middle’ outcome, representing an improvement on the previous inspection.

Shared Lives carers support adults with additional needs by welcoming them into their home so that they can become a part of the family and integrate into the local community. It's a paid role and carers receive a weekly fee to help them support someone living with them.

The Tour of Britain is returning to Warwickshire! 🚴‍♀️

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Warwickshire will be hosting the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women this summer.

On Sunday 23 August, elite cycling will return to the county as we host the final stage of the women’s tour. The route will begin and end in Leamington Spa, taking in the vibrant towns and villages of the surrounding area, rolling countryside, and of course some suitably challenging hill climbs along the way.

Whether you’re hoping to witness a brilliant spectacle of women’s cycling, celebrate your local area on a national stage, or simply enjoy a fantastic family-friendly day out, this is a very special event to get involved in. 🎉

More details to follow – so put the date in your diary and join us in celebrating the return of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women.

Big matches can bring big emotions but there’s no excuse for abuse. If you feel your frustration rising, take steps to manage it. No one should ever feel unsafe in their own home because of a game. Warwickshire Police take domestic abuse seriously.
