This door wreath was delivered to Oxhill today, ahead of a family gathering this weekend.

A beautifully written poem that we have displayed on the wall, which is very much overlooked.

Just think if this happened, which it is in some countries already, this is why Aasa
wrote this poem.
It’s all very sad and to many there is joy in writing a letter or sending a card for whatever the occasion be it sad or a celebration.
Also then the thoughts turns to the demise of the village Post Office, a hub of the community, this could be reality.

Something I probably don’t shout about enough…

Behind the Post Office counter, amongst the parcels, stamps and village chat, there is another part of my working life that I absolutely adore — creating beautiful wedding flowers.

Bridal bouquets like these are one of the reasons I love being a florist so much.

I love flowers that look as though they have just wandered in from an English country garden — beautifully natural, seasonal and full of movement. A little bit wild, a little bit romantic and completely personal to the bride.

I use British-grown flowers wherever possible and love incorporating beautiful foliage, seed heads and natural textures. It’s about creating something that feels effortless rather than overly arranged.

And there is something rather lovely about knowing that a bride’s flowers have been created right here in our little village.

So, whilst you may know us as the village Post Office, perhaps you didn’t know that tucked away behind the counter is an award-winning florist creating wedding flowers, bouquets, funeral flowers and beautiful seasonal arrangements.

And perhaps it’s time I shouted a little louder about this side of the business…

In a day where it’s all about convenience and clicking online.
Pause, just think back a few years when you physically shopped in store and your childhood memories of the smells and experiences of picking something up in store,along with shops that no longer exist.
Shopping physically gives back this experience, you can smell the skincare and with Cotswolds Caress test it too, with the testers for your convenience.
We able to tell you we have tested the products and use many of them regularly, along with the number of customers now using them.
Where can you get face cream at £15 a jar ? all completely natural and that smell amazing at the fraction of the price of high end cream.
Our stock changes regularly with new suppliers and products made in the UK
By shopping online how many times have returned an item or thought I don’t like this ? Only bought because it’s a sponsored ad telling you how amazing it is.
So by physically shopping it gives back the experience of our youth and puts money back into the local community not a large corporate company or holding company.
Just don’t complain when stores locally close, as we hear about daily.
Our shops and high streets will be gone, ghost towns and buildings will stand empty.
They will be a long distance memory.
