Shell eggs originating from Yasensvit Ltd, Ukraine, stamped with the code 3UA1012066 should be removed from sale and not consumed because Salmonella was found in the product.

Eggs bought in major supermarkets are produced in the UK, and therefore not affected by this outbreak.

This issue relates specifically to eggs from one business in Ukraine, which are primarily supplied through wholesalers and the catering supply chain, but also sold at small retailers.

The Food Standards Agency advice is that if people have bought any of the affected products, do not eat them and instead, dispose of them at home, as they may be unsafe.

Yes.
If a customer looks under 25, staff should still ask for ID.

The new law on the sale of to***co does not replace Challenge 25.

It adds an extra check for to***co sales. When selling to***co products, staff will also need to check whether the customer was born on or after the 1st January 2009.

Born on or after the 1st January 2009? The sale must be refused.

🚬 Do you sell to***co products? The law on the sale of to***co is changing on 1st January 2027. From 1st January 2027, it will be illegal to sell to***co products, herbal smoking products or cigarette papers to anyone born on or after 1st January 2009. To help retailers prepare, the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) has launched the Decline09 campaign. Instead of checking whether someone is over 18, staff will need to check whether they were born on or after the 1st January 2009.
