Anthony Horowitz is our Children's Author for September!

He knew from a very early age, without doubt, that he would be a writer.

He has had a varied career, writing over 50 books.

His most famous and successful books are the hugely popular teenage spy series β€˜Alex Rider’. The first book, Stormbreaker, was written in 2000, and the series is still going strong and includes graphic novel editions, a film and a TV series.

He gets his inspiration everywhere, even walking the dog. He has been fortunate to travel a lot and has visited as many of the locations in his books as possible, to get a sense of place, but also new ideas.

His advice for aspiring young writers?
Read a lot! Enjoy your writing and never give up.

You can find a selection of his books to loan on children's floor 1 πŸ˜ƒ
