Watford Women's Centre Plus The charity has developed a needs-led service, shaped by what women tell us makes a real and lasting difference in their lives.

We provide services to help women lead independent, productive and healthier lives, and also support the wider community.

Established 1989 Watford Women's Centre was established in 1989 by a group of exceptional women who came together to volunteer their time and support to victims of sexual violence and rape. We recognise that the challenges women face can often be complex and overwhelming, and we strive to reduce gender inequality, build trusting relationships and empower women to become independent, productive and healthy.

Today marks the start of Menopause Awareness Month. Women make up approximately 51% of the UK population - whether menopause affects you directly, or someone close to you, we should all be more aware of the effects it can have on someone's day to day life. For support, visit https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/ which has a wealth of useful information.
And if you could do with some R&R, book onto our FREE women-only event on Saturday 24th October, in partnership with Living On Energy - Wellness Events

Thank you to Herts Police for a brilliant Domestic Abuse Partners event - One Hertfordshire. One Response. Better Outcomes. - held at the beautiful Knebworth Barns Conference Centre on Wednesday 9th September. It was a fantastic opportunity for local and regional organisations to come together to learn how we can improve collaborative working and the individual services that are provided for those affected by domestic abuse. Special thanks to Sergeant Jon Vine & DI Grant Bennett for organising & facilitating, to Pathways for providing a wonderful lunch and refreshments and to Knebworth Barns for hosting.
