WEATHER:
Outlook for the next week is cooler, with some rain and thunder. Looking at the temperatures over the next week during the day - 24° - 20° and 14° to 11° at night. Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared. In any hot weather make sure you have plenty of fluids, shade and sun screen. Important Make sure you have a bucket of lake water to wet the surface of your unhooking gear to protect Our fish.

LAKE NEWS:
*CASTLES: strimming and trimming and cutting back over the coming week.
*TOLPITS: Swim 6 the island is closed for the safety of Our Fish and Members
WATER TAPS:
Please DO NOT use the water taps that are situated near the dip tanks as it’s not safe to drink. Please only use the taps that are at the bungalow (front) or toilet block (side) as these are off the mains supply and is safe to drink, Signs have been put up near all taps letting members know if it is safe or not to drink.
CRAY FISH TRAPS:
Please DO NOT remove Cray Fish Traps from the Lakes and River they are there to protect Our banks from being mined by the Cray Fish causing banks to collapse. If you find a trap is causing you a problem or you are snagged on a Trap contact a member of Our Fishery Management Team or Bailiff Team.
CHECK - CLEAN - DRY:
Wherever you decide to fish, especially on Our Complex, make sure you Dip all Nets, Slings, Mats and Cradles before you fish and again if you change Lakes before you fish and always make sure you carry with you and use, Hand Sanitizer to protect yourself.
MATCH NEWS:
* Sunday 30th August - Castles Lake - Championship Leg 5 and Juniors Knockout, draw Main Car Park 08:00-08:15, fish 09:30-14:30. Please leave the lake midnight Saturday 29th August. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed and after those taking part in the match have packed up and left their swims. For safety reasons do not walk the lake until those who have taken part in the match have packed up and left their swims.
*Friday 4th September-Sunday 6th September - Tolpits Lake - 48hr Carp Match Run by Mark Oldfield. with a maximum of 20 CLUB MEMBERS ONLY.
To book your first come first served place for any of these Carp Matches contact Mark on 07361893460, if there are any remaining spaces available on the day of the match, this will be offered again on a first come first serve basis. Fishing commences at 10:00am on the Friday and finishes 10:00am on the Sunday. MAXIMUM TWO RODS ALLOWED. Please leave the lake midnight Thursday 3rd September. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed and after those taking part in the match have packed up and left their swims. For safety reasons do not walk the lake until those taking part in the match have packed up and left their swims.
*Sunday 13th September - Castles Lake, Championship Leg 6.
*Tuesday 15th September - Castles Lake, coaching children with disabilities for the day.
*Sunday 26th September - River Thames, Thames Windsor, Mike Cole Thames Cup.
NOTE:
YOU don't have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a try!

Also, can members put the number pad facing the outside as this will make it easier and quicker to get on to the complex for other members.

WEATHER WARNING:
Met Office yellow thunderstorms warning for Hertfordshire. A yellow weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms that could include large hail and frequent lightning, the Met Office has said.It is in force on Wednesday, with forecasters saying there is also a small chance of flooding, power cuts, train cancellations and road closures.
The Met Office said on its website: "A band of heavy showers and thunderstorms is expected to move northwards on Wednesday.

Can you help? Dan's rod and reel has just been dragged into Stanley's Pool ( peg 4)
It is a 10 ft Freespirit rod and a chrome Shimano 14000 Ultegra reel.
If anyone should retrieve it then please call or text me on 07584026900.
A small reward will be available for anyone who manages to retrieve it.
