Hafren Valley Methodist Church-Pentre Llifior A Grade II* listed building with CADW, we are an historical Weslyan Methodist Chapel. Free entry. We are a LIVING Heritage site. (April to September).

The chapel has weekly worship commencing at 2.30pm and is also open for visitors to learn about our history on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. We can open outside of these times by prior arrangements for individuals and groups. Our Monthly Bacon Buddies get together on 2nd Saturday of each month is open to all . 10.30am - 12 noon. (This is a social event not a religious gathering). We can also do veggie sausage bap so stop for 5 mins or the whole session whatever fits with your day. If you have the "What Three Words" app we can be located at:

We are now officially closed on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons BUT we still have worship weekly AND of course our free Bacon Buddies 🥓 🫖☕️ every 2nd Saturday of the month, as per the norm in our Preacher's Stable building.

Toast/veggie sausage available for non-meat eaters.🍞☕️
Open for anyone to call in 10.30am to noon. 🕚
Stop as little or long as you like - but you'll have to wait for the bacon to cook at least! 😅😅

Chapel open to for visitors too so, if you're intetested in local history or church buildings, why not combine a bite to eat and a nosey at the storyboards at the same time. Win, win. 😊👍

October arrangements are as follows. Worship commences at 2.30pm.🎶🙏 (unless otherwise stated).
Usual cuppa and biscuits/cakes at around 3.30pm🫖☕️🍪🍩.
All welcome to either or both. If it's just the biccies etc. that's fine by us.

4th - Rev. Roger Hides - Harvest Festival. 🍞🫜🥕🌽🥦

Sat 10th - Bacon Buddies 🥓. 10.30am to 12 noon.

11th - Cell Group 🙏📖

18th - Rev. Keith Edwards. Holy Communion (see below) ✝️

25th - Cell Group. 🙏📖

Cell Group = informal discussion group with prayers/singing

Holy Communion = we offer an open table but partaking is not obligatory if attending. It's whatever YOU are comfortable with.

Ok. 3hrs later. Our weedy friends have been banished - well at least for a short while. I'm sure they'll be back though (to try my patience). I just hope it's not too soon 🙏🤞🙃😂

Needed a tidy up a bit today. The rain, whilst being welcome for the farmers, encourages our little weedy friends to grow, and so we need to remind them to grow in our fields and hedgerows and not on our church and carpark please. LOL. See next post for an update on how the afternoon went.
