Announcement:
From 1st June for a short time (weeks), AceBenthyg will open on Mondays for collections and returns, and open on Friday for returns. (Shut on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
The delivery/collection service will still be in operation on Fridays (Cardiff only).

And then we were on hand to help after the 3 car accident outside Dusty. Hoping those affected are ok today.

FREE REPAIR CAFE AT DUSTY FORGE- SAT 22nd
The Dusty repair cafe's next pop-up event starts next Saturday 22 March at 10.00am, with 'last orders' by 12noon latest. Spring is in the air, and our friendly team of volunteer fixers will be on hand to check out your basic bike repairs and sharpen your garden tools ready for action! We'll also offer software advice about your phone\ tablet\ laptop - speaking 'in human' to help with any problems. Our textile fixers offer TLC for your soft toys\ favourite clothes\ sweaters attacked by moths. If you've any portable electrical items 'on the blink' we'll check them out - and if they can't be fixed we can pass them on to Cardiff Council's e-waste collection service for recycling. We can tackle wobbly wheels on your buggy\ trolley or wobbly legs on your chair\ stool. To ensure that every customer has a fair opportunity at our popular FREE service we ask you to bring MAX 2 items and we'll guarantee to check out your priority item. Our warm welcome includes free light refreshments while you wait to be matched with a fixer - come early to avoid the queue!!

The Dusty's repair cafe 'pops up' again next Saturday 22 February, starting at 10am with 'last orders' by 12noon latest. So come early to avoid the queue for our FREE service provided by our friendly volunteer fixers! Our team will check out your laptop\ tablet\ phone for software problems, undertake basic bike repairs, check wobbly trolleys and buggies, give your soft toys and textiles some TLC, and check out your portable electrical items if they're 'on the blink' (but NOT microwaves). If your electrical item can't be fixed we offer responsible recycling via Cardiff Council's e-waste collection scheme. Our monthly repair service is popular, so to give all our customers a fair opportunity please bring MAX 2 items to be checked out. Our warm welcome includes free light refreshments plus books and toys to keep your kids busy while you wait to be matched with a fixer. See you soon!

There will be a very small price rise incoming to AceBenthyg, covering a number of items. This is to try and standardise prices across all 3 Libraries of Things in Cardiff, (Splott Benthyg Y Sblot, Benthyg Llandaff North & Gabalfa)and to have similarity with Benthyg Penarth as well.
You, our supporters, know that borrowing is a cheap and planet-friendly way to live, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
