THIS FRIDAY!! 😍
📣ANNOUNCEMENT TWOOOO 📣
Our next photography workshop is portrait photography!
You'll learn some key skills in these workshops including lighting and composition and how to best represent your subject. You'll be working closely with professional photographer, Simon Bernacki and gain an understanding of the process and practices on a professional shoot.
For this workshop, you won't need to bring any of your own kit, although a pen and paper or mobile phone may be useful to take some notes.
Si Bernacki is a photographer, skateboarder and social entrepreneur. Passionate in equal measures for all three, photography takes precedent as it pays (sometimes) the bills! Working closely with Scene Photography in Nottingham for the last few years, he has built a reputation for being a valued member of the team, working directly with clients in the studio or on location to produce commercial photography assets. Combining his interests in skateboarding and photography has led to publishing work across a variety of print and online platforms. He is also the co-founder of Skate Nottingham, a local social enterprise designed to educate, teach and mentor people who wish to get into skateboarding. Having experienced barriers to entry himself, removing this can only make the community stronger, more diverse and inclusive for anyone who wishes to take part.
Simon will be leading the photography workshops and sharing his knowledge, experience and skills with participants. He has led similar programmes through Skate Nottingham in collaboration with the Photo Parlour. They are fun, exciting and hands-on sessions, where participants will learn some of the guiding principles of photography before being given a project to focus their creative energies on.
