It's officially Christmas in the iMist Head Office! With Christmas being one of the highest-risk times of year for house fires, we have put together a few simple steps that can make all the difference.
With overloaded sockets, older Christmas lights, busy kitchens, portable heaters, and candles all adding extra risk, December consistently remains the busiest month for house fires in England.
A few UK stats to keep in mind:
🔥 Homes are 53% more likely to have a fire on Christmas Day
🔥 Almost half of candle fire claims in December occur between the 25th–30th
🔥 In 2024, FRSs attended 136,702 fires, including 38,000+ building fires
At iMist, we work to protect homes and families long before a fire even begins.
