Yue is working hard for your vote. Yesterday Sadik Al-Hassan MP and Cllr Helen Thornton. Read Yue's post in which she talks about how important and pecious our democracy is.
Yue and the team are out again today.

Delighted to be joined on the campaign trail by Sadik Al-Hassan MP, Cllr Helen Thornton and James Coldwell.

I also spoke to a local resident who told me she had never voted in her life. I shared my own story: as an immigrant from China, it took me 20 years to understand what democracy really means.

I told her that if people stop engaging, democracy itself is at risk. She was deeply moved and told me she would vote for me.

Democracy is precious, but it only works when we use it.

📚 WORLE LIBRARY: YOUR VOICE MATTERS

The future of a community library in Worle is now being discussed — and it’s really important that local people turn up and have their say.

A Community Library pop-up conversation is being held at:

There’s no need to book. Just come along at any point during either session.

This is an opportunity to talk about what you want from a library in Worle, what services matter to you, what you would use it for and what you think a community library could look like.

Worle has already shown how much people care about their library. Now we need residents to make sure that voice is heard as plans for the future are developed.

👉 If you live in Worle, use the library, have children who use it, or simply believe our communities need accessible public spaces — please come along.

And please share this with your friends, family and neighbours. The more people who attend, the stronger the community's voice will be.

🚨 Serious questions for Nigel Farage and Reform UK

A major Channel 4 investigation has uncovered undercover footage in which senior Reform UK figures allegedly discuss secret, “off the books” funding arrangements — including polling commissioned by the party but paid for by a US company.

An electoral law expert and former Electoral Commission chief has called for a criminal investigation, saying serious offences may have been committed.

Political parties have to play by the same rules. Voters deserve to know who is funding political campaigns and how that money is being used.

These are extremely serious allegations. Reform UK and Nigel Farage now have some very difficult questions to answer.

Worle NEEDS a library!

Over the past year, I’ve been part of the campaign to save Worle Library (by library, I don't mean the current building).

A library is so much more than just a home for books; it's a community space, it's a place to finish homework or uni work. I have been working alongside local residents and community groups who have been fighting to find a new library space.

There is now a consultation asking residents if they want a community library, as well as a meeting at the Community Centre where people can come along, hear more and share their views.
