⚽ Madness in Added Time for the Town

The Town Centre Team thought the final whistle was looming after building a comfortable 3-0 lead through a recall-to-prison arrest, a wanted person for bail breaches, and a public order arrest.
But football is a funny game, and there was still time for some late drama.

Whilst dealing with the earlier arrests, Town Centre Team officers were flagged down by concerned witnesses reporting a robbery on Oxford Street. It was alleged that two adults had assaulted a 14-year-old boy and stolen personal items from him.

The officers quickly switched from game management to all-out attack. Following enquiries, two further individuals were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken into custody.
Two goals deep into added time.

A special mention goes to PC 3530 Alex Rees, making his Town Centre Team debut. Some players wait years for a result like this. Alex managed it in his first outing. One for the history books.
5-0. Full-time.

⚽ Early Morning Hat-Trick for Weston’s Town Centre Team

With hope, anticipation and a few pre-match nerves, the Skipper deployed his squad to the Italian Gardens in search of a prolific offender wanted on recall to prison.

Having been out of custody for less than 72 hours, Probation had already decided they'd seen enough and authorised his return to HMP. The target was located and approached in a tactical formation that would have made Weston-super-Mare AFC Seagull Army proud! The arrest was completed without issue.

Unfortunately for his mate, checks revealed he was also wanted for breaching court-imposed bail conditions.

2-0. Game on.

As officers escorted the first prisoner to a waiting police vehicle on Waterloo Street, a member of the public decided to provide some colourful feedback about the local policing team. Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion, screaming abuse and swearing in the middle of the street, loudly enough to disturb those going about their day, isn't the recommended complaints procedure.

We appreciate policing can be a bit Marmite, but when your behaviour starts affecting everyone else, expect a different response.

The result? A public order arrest.

3-0. Hat-trick secured. Full-time whistle.

The Town Centre Team march into the next fixture full of confidence and ready for whatever the opposition throws at them. 🏆🚔

We're releasing an image of a man we'd like to speak to in relation to a burglary in Weston-super-Mare.

CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have been conducted.

The man, pictured, is said to white, around 50 years old and 6ft.

Enquiries are continuing into a burglary that happened in Weston-super-Mare in May.

Two men have appeared in court as part of an ongoing car key burglary investigation.

They were jointly charged with two counts of dwelling burglary and one count of theft of a motor vehicle. One was additionally charged with handling stolen goods.

The charges relate to an investigation into four separate burglaries - two in Yatton, one in Long Ashton and one in North Colerne, in Wiltshire.
