Little Town Adventures – Important Update
Firstly, we want to say thank you. Since opening in May 2024, we’ve loved welcoming your families to Little Town and seeing the brilliant make-believe worlds your children created here. Those memories mean a lot to our team. Little Town was a concept we first developed back in 2020 before Covid and to bring it to life was wonderful.
However, after a great deal of review, we will be closing Little Town to the public permanently, with Sunday 2nd November being the last day of trade.
We tried hard to find a new operator (we invited interest publicly on our page a few months ago), but we haven’t been able to pass it on. The simple reality is that—despite everyone’s best efforts—role-play venues have been very tough to sustain in the current climate. We’ve seen fantastic concepts around the UK close in the last couple of years (Kidzania, Children’s Play Village and Bear Town to name but a few), and locally the parking restrictions in Weston-super-Mare have also made trading harder for many businesses.
We don’t want the space—or the magic—to go to waste. The venue will be repurposed as our Head Office and Training Centre, where our teams will use the rooms as Montessori-inspired learning hubs. Some of the beautiful set pieces will be rehomed at Ocean Adventurers (Cheddar) and Space Adventurers (Taunton), so keep an eye out for familiar favourites popping up there. Ocean Adventurers in Cheddar and Space Adventurers in Taunton will continue to operate as normal.
The practical bits
* We are open across half term so if you want to book to visit us then we would love to see you - https://bookings.littletownadventures.co.uk/book/book-a-session/476
* If you have an upcoming Little Town booking, we should have been in touch already but please email us on [email protected] if not.
* We’ll share an update soon on which items are moving to Ocean/Space so families know where to find them.
Thank you again to every family who visited, recommended us, and cheered us on. It’s not the ending we hoped for, but we’re proud of what Little Town meant to so many children, for that we will forever be grateful. As we close this chapter, we’d also like to gently remind everyone to keep supporting local independent businesses. Across the UK, many role-play and soft-play venues have faced an exceptionally tough year, with visitor numbers and sales falling sharply. Every visit, birthday party, and coffee truly makes a difference — so if you can and are able to, please continue to support the venues you love ❤️
