We’re celebrating love, identity and the importance of being proud of who you are. We’re pleased to stand with our communities in recognising Pride and its values of inclusion, respect and belonging 🩷

Today marks the end of Foster Care Fortnight, and we hear from Councillor Catherine Gibbons with some warm words of thanks for all of our amazing carers, team and supporters 💚

Throughout Foster Care Fortnight, we took on a challenge to walk 294 Miles - One mile for every child under our care. We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who took part in our challenge and who helped us spread the word as we continue our mission to find more fostering families for our children 🩷

We are so pleased to share that we have reached our target of walking 294 miles for Foster Care Fortnight!

We originally set out to walk one mile for every child under the care of North Somerset - and we've smashed that out of the park! Thanks to the amazing contributions of so many of our amazing fostering families, our supporters and members of the team, we have tallied up more than 350 miles!

Although this challenge is over, our mission to support the children in North Somerset to achieve everything they are capable of and more remains as strong as ever. We'd like to say a huge thank you to our foster carers whose love and dedication consistently shine through. We really could not do it without you.

We hope everyone enjoys the remainder of Foster Care Fortnight, and thank you for helping us raise more awareness for our children 🩵🩷💚
