Our engineers were out on site yesterday, carrying out the annual fire extinguisher servicing at this very unique place up in Chepstow, which is known as a ‘anaerobic digestion plant’.

After speaking with one of the very friendly workers, he shared some very interesting facts on what goes on.

100 tonne of waste goes into these digestion plants a day which consist of chicken/cow manure and also silage. The products sit tight in these digestion chambers and over around 40 days, they ferment and produce methane which rises. The methane is then extracted to generate renewable energy.

This is a great insight to modern technology and British farming. Definitely one of the perks of being an engineer and seeing what goes on out there. We look forward to seeing the growth of this place again in 2027.

.somerset Branch welcomed us back this January to carry out their fire warden training. Manager Katy and her team that consist of workers from the animal centre in Brent Knoll and local charity shops, were one of the first training courses we did back in 2023. It was great to be back and providing that 3 yearly refresher course again. We have also carried out all fire extinguisher servicing at all charity shops this year and the fire risk assessments are also under way.

We would like to thank you for your continued support over the last few years.

We don’t think there’s a better way to kick start the training side of the business in 2026 with a fire warden course at the . With a very high percentage of all of our work being in the weston-super-mare area, this is definitely one of the most iconic places in the area.

We carried out the ‘Level 2, in Fire Safety (Fire Warden) course for 12 trainees which also included a live fire extinguisher practical. There was great discussion throughout the course with every trainee having great input and many laughs along the way too. Well done to all 12 new and existing fire wardens and we look forward to working with you in the near future.

This was a bit of a different one for us a few weeks ago. A brand new cue sports venue based in Yate, Bristol, in the old job centre. What a venue the is. Of course they went for the chrome fire extinguishers in customer facing areas.
If you’re in to your cue sports then get on down there as Matt Lancaster has done an exceptional job.

Our engineers were over in the big capital of Wales yesterday, down at Sytner BMW Cardiff servicing all the fire extinguishers that they have on site. It’s always a pleasure here with very friendly front of house staff and sales team. Some lovely cars on show as usual and coffee was on tap too. Happy engineers.

Great feedback from the latest Level 2 Fire Safety training session at who manufacture Formula 1 driving simulators for F1 teams. The team got stuck in with practical fire extinguisher demonstrations and clear guidance from KCI’s instructors.

In September we had the pleasure of delivering some fire warden training for . We have carried out their fire extinguisher servicing for a couple of years now which includes their main office HQ in Bristol and many site fire extinguishers that they have. This time, we were at HQ for some Level 2, Fire Safety training (Fire Warden). The day went very well and all trainees got to get some hands on fire extinguisher practical too which hopefully they enjoyed and got some experience from. We hope to see them in the near future for some more training provided by our training team.

A couple of weeks ago, Occam Group contacted us to see if we could supply some new fire equipment for their new offices in central Bristol. Charles went for the chrome fire equipment in the end which I could see why on arrival, the office space was top spec. What a great office space to be working in. We wish you all the best Charles Brooking in your new offices and we will see you next year for the annual servicing.
