Saint Paul’s Methodist Church kindly gifted their bench to the Parish of Wetwang. Refurbished and re-sited on Northfield Road by the Parish Council.

We are pleased to share this flyer for Monday's talk at the Fridaythorpe Fimber Wetwang Archaeological Project (FFWAP) by James Lyall. This looks like a really interesting journey through the archaeology of the Wolds!

Their current programme includes:

Monday 27th April 2026 -

and extending into other locations in the East Riding"

Monday 1st June 2026 -
Richard Myerscough - “The Geology and Landscape of the High Wolds”

Monday 29th June 2026 -Dave Went, Historic England - “Insights and updates from the Yorkshire Wolds Archaeological Landscape Project”

All talks start at 7.30pm.

East Riding Household Support Grant for Oil

Low income households in the East Riding of Yorkshire who use oil to heat their homes may be eligible for support with the rising cost of heating oil.

The Household Support Fund aims to help vulnerable households in East Riding of Yorkshire with the rising cost of heating oil. Grants will be awarded to eligible low-income households. Please note that this fund is only available to East Riding of Yorkshire residents.
