🎨 You don't need to travel to Giverny, France, to step inside a Claude Monet masterpiece. Bennetts Water Gardens in Weymouth brings the world-renowned French impressionist’s vision straight to Dorset.

The bridge was commissioned in 1999 to celebrate the centenary of Monet's famous 1899 painting, ‘The Water Lily Pond’. Even more incredible: the family actually sourced many of their original lilies from the very same French nursery that Monet used over a century ago!

Spanning 8 beautiful acres, this tranquil haven makes the perfect relaxing summer day out. Here is what you can look forward to during your visit:
* National and International Collections of Water Lilies: Wander along grass pathways to admire over 300 stunning varieties of lilies blooming across the lakes.
* Abundant Local Wildlife: Keep your eyes peeled for colourful dragonflies, kingfishers, and friendly resident ducks.
* Beyond the Ponds: Explore the indoor Tropical House packed with exotic plants, including a cactus garden, and don’t miss the local history museum. There’s also a plant centre if you want to create a little magic at home too.
* Café Monet & Shop: Relax after your walk at Café Monet for a homemade cream tea or lunch.

We have decided with Yoga with Debbie to reschedule tomorrow evening's Sunset Yoga session.

The forecast suggests temperatures will still be in the low 30s at 6:30pm, and with limited air circulation and the possibility of thunderstorms, we feel it is in everyone's best interest to move the event to Thursday 2nd July.

If you didn’t manage to book for tomorrow, then bookings for 2nd July are open on our website

Sunrise Yoga on 26th June remains unaffected 🪷

We have had a busy time of it here at Bennetts Water Gardens, RHS Chelsea Flower Show last weekend, chatting with on their Saturday breakfast show, glorious weather and lots of visitors over the Bank Holiday and now we have featured on the front page of newspaper today with the third and fourth generation of Bennetts on our beautiful Monet Bridge. We are very thankful for all the wonderful comments and coverage. 🪷 🙌🏻☀️

We were delighted to hear our Plant Curator, James Bennett being interviewed by BBC Solent this morning about the exciting experience of supplying our ‘Splendida’ Waterlily to the Plant Heritage The Missing Collector Garden at this year’s The Rhs Chelsea Flower Show.. The amazing garden won a silver-gilt award and congratulations to all involved. 🌸

Chelsea is one of the world’s most prestigious gardening events, so it’s a real honour to see one of our waterlilies featured on such a celebrated stage.

A huge well done to James for sharing his passion and expertise, and thank you to BBC Radio Solent for supporting local horticulture. 🌿

Beautiful Nymphaea 'Splendida' from Bennets Water Gardens on The Plant Heritage Missing Collector Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. You can find it in the All About Plants Section.

The garden is inspired by the idea of “The Missing Collector”, a mysterious plant enthusiast who has left behind an extraordinary plant collection. The garden
highlights the vital work of Plant Heritage in protecting cultivated plants for the future and aims to inspire the next generation of National Plant Collection Holders.

It feature interesting and unusual cultivars to highlight the work of Plant Heritage and National Collection holders. The planting palette consists of jewel-coloured plants set against lush and structural green foliage.

The garden poses the question: “Could you be the Missing Collector?” An unoccupied ‘grown’ chair invites visitors to imagine themselves in the role of collector and guardian. It features plants currently not protected by a National Collection and therefore at risk – which currently includes Aquilegia, Verbascum, Lysimachia, Carex, and Deschampsia.

We were incredibly honoured to be chosen to supply our Nymphaea ‘Splendida’ Waterlily to the Missing Collector Garden at The All About Plants Garden designed by has been carefully created using Plant Heritage National Plant Collections of which we are the Nymphaea Collection Holder.
