Bees were enjoying the lavender this afternoon which was nice to see after attending Kath's Celebration - lavender does really well in dry conditions and it was planted by Kath some years ago in a half barrel by the main door.

In case anyone was wondering about where we are with getting our bell rehung, here's the latest from CCT. The bell remains at Taylor's Bellfoundry, Loughborough & their work has been paid for by NYMNPA. Last February the Friends of Old St Stephen's were told by CCT that having received a bequest, the money is now available for them to proceed with overseeing this project. Planning permission tor reinstate the bell is in place.

I just wanted to reach out, I appreciate it's later than promised and I apologise about that. So this is just a quick note to let you know we've not forgotten about you .

We've a couple of things to resolve internally before we can move forward but our agreed route forward is still on the table.

Helen or I will be in touch soon when, hopefully it'll be all systems go.

Friends of Old Stephen's are having a meeting at 6pm on Friday March 20th in the lower room of Fylingthorpe Methodist church. Topics to be covered include updates on the repairs to the graveyard south wall & on the One Small Bell project. All welcome.
