Annual Parish Assembly : Friday 29th May 2026.

I know it's hot, and I know it will be a Friday night, but it would be good to see the residents of St Mary Bourne Parish at the Annual Parish Assembly this Friday. (yes, the whole parish including Stoke, Binley, Egbury, Wadwick and The Wykes).

Refreshments from 6:30pm with the formal meeting starting at 7pm.

In the Main Hall of the Village Centre in St Mary Bourne.

Come along and hear from local organisations and what they are up to and how you could get involved. The Parish Council Chair, Patrick Foote, will be reporting on what the council have been doing in the last year, and their plans for the future. Come and meet your neighbours too.

We are disappointed to find this morning that the hoop from one of the netball posts from the MUGA is missing.

We are unsure what anyone would need it for, so are going to assume it is just mindless vandalism.

We would be grateful for its return before having to use taxpayer’s money replacing it.

Sad but true.

Probably the last thing on your minds with the heat of today, but help is available from Hampshire County Council if you're likely to struggle this Winter.

Do you heat your home using heating oil? 🔥

A reminder that we’re working with Citizens Advice East Hampshire to support Hampshire residents who rely on heating oil and are struggling with increased costs.

As well as help towards the cost of heating oil for eligible residents, Citizens Advice can also provide general advice on managing energy costs and wider finances.

This support is part of the Crisis Resilience Fund, which helps households facing financial pressure with essential costs.

Find out more, see if you’re eligible and apply by visiting the link in the comments.
