Flu (4 cohorts – Sept)

Flu can make people very unwell, especially young children, pregnant women and those with health conditions. Getting the flu vaccine helps protect you and those around you. You may be eligible for a free flu vaccine if you are:

Pregnant women (any stage of pregnancy) Protect yourself and your baby this winter. Get your free flu vaccine through your GP, maternity service or a participating pharmacy.

Children aged 2 and 3 years Help protect your child and those around them. Book their free flu vaccination through their GP or a participating pharmacy.

Children aged 4 to 16 years (Reception to Year 11) The Flu vaccination will be offered at school. Look out for information from your child's school and return consent forms promptly.

Children and young people aged 6 months to under 18 years with certain health conditions Extra protection is important this winter. Contact your GP practice or school vaccination team to arrange a free flu vaccine.

Young people aged 17 years and over in SEN schools and clinical risk groups H4

Help reduce the risk of serious illness. Speak to your school vaccination team, GP practice or healthcare professional about getting vaccinated. To access your local pharmacy please visit Pharmacies - NHS.

To access a GP please access the NHS App - www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/ * Participating pharmacies are expected to offer vaccinations from 1 October.
