The newest editions to the post box, located in the Market Place, just outside Whitwick Day Nursery.
We would like to thank both Sue and Janet for taking the time to crochet two special edition post box toppers.
Mays topper was created with all the activities that are held within our lovely local church buildings.
Junes topper is all about celebrating the kick off to the World Cup. Wishing our England football team all the best in the competition.
The idea of the post box topper is for the enjoyment of the public, it would be lovely to see everyone in the community taking photos next to the post box and tagging us on Facebook.

🚫ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚫

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate sewer relining.
A road closure is required on Castle Street between Bonchurch Road and Skinners Lane on the 17th June 2026 for one day between 09:00 and 14:30.

📢 LITTER PICKING VOLUNTEERS 📢

We are still looking for volunteers to join us on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd June, to help clean up the paths, hedgerows and grass verges.
Litter picking equipment will be provided, as well as refreshments after the clean up.
If you are able to join in alongside us on either of the dates, please contact the office to provide your name and availability.
