The course is a traditional 18 hole Links layout consisting 9 holes out and 9 back to the clubhouse. The Fairways are generous and fast running, with firm and true links greens. The course is playable all year round with rarely any winter greens in operation so it's always a fair test of your game. There are many spectacular views around the course with possibly the best saved for
the 18th tee, which offers a stunning panorama of Sinclair Bays unspoiled white sands and it's four Historic Castles which overlook the sea.

Seniors Winter Eclectic Round 1

And so it begins.... but with a flying start is Don McLeod with a tremendous starting Nett 63, if you keep that up you will be impossible to catch! Also very impressive in tough conditions Robert Klimas with a Nett 67 and also steady golf from Willie Wydmuch with a Nett 72.

The Sheriff's Medal Round 6

Some sublime weather for the 6th and final round of the newly reserected Sheriff's Medal. There were a few players in contention dependant on results.

However, although the weather was amazing for this time of year... scoring was challenging. The winning score ended up being a Nett 72, with experience shining through on the podium. Willie Wydemuch took the win with a 92/72, from Neil Mallet 93/72 and in 3rd Alan Farquhar with an 89/73.

How will this effect the overall standings and the overall standings... results will be verified and posted on Monday afternoon.

SENIOR SUMMER ECLECTIC 2026

This Tuesday saw the 12th and final round of the Senior Summer Eclectic Series. With things very tight between only a few players, the outcome could prove pivotal.

Taking the win on Tuesday was Robert Klimas with another steady 73, however hot on his heels was John Harper making some gains on a few key holes with a Nett 77, on the same score in 3rd place was Keith Dougan.

This result did indeed prove crucial. John Haper wins by a nose over Robert Klimas both finishing on Nett 57s. With a trio of players finishing on Nett 58s with Roy Page in 3rd, Graham Hay in 4th and Ali McDonald's finishing in 5th.

Well done John!

Norse Stone Tour Championship 2026

Well.... it came as no suprise that our winner came from the last pairing this afternoon. After a cracking round of (-3) Sandy Sutherland held a 3 shot lead going into the final 9 hole shoot out. Alan Larnach (PAR) wasn't for giving up and put his mate right under the gun with a hat-trick of birdies in the first 3 holes.

The two battled hard blow for blow, but it was Sandy who held his nerve and despite an unbelievable 9 birdies across the 27 holes Alan Larnach was pipped at the post by only 2 shots. Tremendous golf men a worthy climax to the season.

Another mention must go to Sanders Harper who shot a level par 27 holes to tie Alan on 103, very steady stuff well done!

Norse Stone Tour Championship Result:

Sandy Sutherland 101
Alan Larnach + Sanders Harper 103
Jack Coghill 105
Daniel Cairns 106
