“Heat! Camera! Action!”
The new podcast on climate and nature recovery is launched this month on 29th May

A new podcast is on its way!

Heat – too much in the air and oceans.
Camera – for focus and attention.
Action – what we need.

We’re in a hole. The planet’s losing. This is how we get out.
Story with a swerve, slantwise.
More hope, more agency.

The 5-min podcast trailer is here (or listen on all podcast feeds): https://youtu.be/pCsjOEnMGgA

It’s the shape of all our lives. Up-down, down-up. And this podcast of personal stories, the aim is to create hope.

Each episode is a conversation with a guest, mostly on location outdoors; sometimes online. The guests are authors and poets, artists and scientists, environmental and business leaders, farmers and conservationists, local and national activists, festival directors, therapists and religious leaders. Each brings something positive to the thinking and action about current crises.

Story says, lift your courage. The pantry’s full of ingredients. Support for low-carbon, nature-positive, and equitable policies, institutions, and technologies is growing fast at local, national and international levels. Story can create new tipping points.

The visual vibe is the warm daguerreotype. This was invented in the 1840s at the start of the industrialised era, before any carbon pollution of the atmosphere.

Good story is not just a hiding place. It’s a finding place.

The audio versions of each episode will be on all commercial podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Podcast Addict, Podchaser). The film versions will be on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com//.

Many thanks – and happy listening/viewing!

Important roadworks information
A12 northbound between junctions 20B (Hatfield Peverel North Interchange) and 22 (Colemans Interchange) – maintenance work

National Highways are planning to carry out maintenance work on the A12 entry and exit slip roads and lay-bys northbound between junctions 20B and 22. They will resurface the road and refresh the road markings to provide drivers with a safer, smoother and more clearly marked road surface.

They plan to carry out this work over six nights, starting on Monday 11 May 2026. We will work on weeknights only, between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.

We're resurfacing and maintaining the central reservation on the A12 in Essex between junction 20b (Hatfield Peverel South) to junction 22 (Witham North), and from junction 24 (Kelvedon North) to junction 25 (Marks Tey) from 11 May to October 2026.
