Last week we celebrated Volunteers’ Week, with our fantastic Patient Experience and Engagement Team sharing some wonderful stories and highlights along the way.

We’d like to take another moment to recognise and say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our incredible volunteers. 💙

With more than 300 volunteers supporting services across the Trust, your dedication, compassion and generosity make a difference every single day.

Your continued support, commitment and kindness play a vital role in helping us deliver care to our patients, their families and our communities.

We are truly grateful for everything you do - thank you for being such an important part of our team. 🌟

Thank you also to Nadia Bousseau, Voluntary Services Manager, and Melaine Cornish, Patient Activity Volunteer Co-ordinator, for the invaluable help and support they provide to our volunteers.

🏠 There are lots of things you can do to help a loved one get home from hospital:

• Collecting them as soon as possible - which helps free up beds for people who urgently need care
• Making sure they have clothes, shoes, keys and a phone charger
• Preparing things at home
• Asking the ward about any medication or equipment needed

Your support makes a real difference.
