🎄🎁 PDA’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026! 🎁🎄

This year, we’ll be working with the Christian Charity, Link to Hope to spread love, kindness and Christmas cheer to families and elderly people in need.

We’re excited to come together as a school community to make a difference and share a little hope this Christmas!

A letter has been sent home with all the information you need, including how you can get involved and support our appeal. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference!

Let’s spread a little Christmas magic together! ❤️🎄

On Thursday, Reverend Sue led a meaningful worship as we continued our theme of love, focusing on the importance of giving second chances. We reflected on how love, forgiveness and understanding can help us learn from our mistakes, make fresh starts and show kindness to others. A beautiful reminder that everyone deserves another chance. ❤️

During Wellbeing Wednesday, we focused on the importance of taking notice of the beautiful world around us.

After an insightful session led by Mrs Jonker, we headed outside to explore our wonderful school environment. The children enjoyed a range of activities, including nature scavenger hunts, capturing photographs of their favourite parts of nature and sketching the beauty of their surroundings.

It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, appreciate the little things and connect with nature. How lucky are we to have such a beautiful environment to explore and enjoy at our school? 🌿🍃

WOW! A HUGE thank you from Year 3 for all your generous donations to The Brick Food Community!

As you can see, we’ve collected lots of food to support this fantastic cause. Year 3 absolutely loved sorting and packing all the donations, working together to get everything ready to go to those who need it most.

Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference, and we are so grateful for your wonderful support. Thank you, everyone! ❤️

Lancashire Fire and Rescue visited our Year 6 pupils to deliver an important talk about fire safety. They discussed the importance of walking safely to and from school, how to prevent fires at home, and what to do if a fire breaks out.

Our pupils learned some valuable safety tips and the importance of knowing how to respond in an emergency. A huge thank you to Lancashire Fire and Rescue for taking the time to visit us and share such important advice! 🚒🔥

It was lovely to welcome back two of our former pupils, who have recently left us and started their exciting journey into Year 7 at Burscough Priory Academy.

They came in to speak to our current Year 5 and Year 6 pupils about what life is like at secondary school, sharing their experiences and answering questions about the transition from primary to secondary.
