As we prepare to count down to midnight, did you know these global traditions?
Spain: people eat 12 grapes, one for each stroke of midnight, believing it brings good luck for all 12 months ahead.
Scotland (Hogmanay): the first person to enter your home after midnight brings good fortune. They traditionally bring gifts like whisky, coal, or bread.
Greece: Greeks bake a sweet bread or cake called Vasilopita with a hidden coin. Whoever gets the lucky slice will enjoy good fortune for the year.
