Our next evening talk at the museum explores Wargaming in the British Army. Our speaker, Paul Beaves, has conducted wargaming within and for the British Army (amongst others) since 2008.

In this engaging evening talk, he will discuss what professional wargaming is (and what it is not); the intellectual background to military wargaming; and his experiences of contemporary wargaming in the British Army.

He will cover some key historical uses of wargaming; wargaming through the Iraq-Afghanistan period; capability development and current wargaming for a new (old) NATO requirement, as well as professional wargaming for Army training.

Book now - tickets include light refreshments.

🐕 New in our online shop 🐕

Honouring Tiney, the mascot of 12 Company, Commissariart and Transport Corps, we are delighted to share with you the latest product added to our online shop.

Tiney, who you can meet in the museum's medal corridor, went to war with 12 Company in 1882 and he wears the Egypt medal and the Khedive Star to recognise his service. Every purchase helps us to tell his story.
