We’ll be back J.P. Morgan on Thursday next week for

This closed doors event is especially for employees to learn about volunteering opportunities within different services.

We’re looking for new and so it’s an ideal opportunity for staff to approach us and get their questions in! There’s kit to try on, and loads of information plus chance to chat to three of our officers.

We have many other events over the summer, so if this one’s not for you, keep an eye on our socials and we’ll publish more over the coming weeks.

| Cheering on your team at the Football World Cup?

Enjoy the game responsibly. Too much alcohol can lead to anti-behaviour. Don’t be that person. Plan a safe journey home, never drink and drive, and put your safety and the safety of others first.

GOOD SAFE SUMMER | Cheering on your team at the football World Cup?

We are asking all supporters to enjoy the game responsibly.

Too much to drink can lead to things like a lot of noise, passers-by being intimidated, urinating in public or even violent behaviour.
Don’t be that person.

Plan a safe journey home and don’t drink and drive.

Drink responsibly and put your safety and the safety of others first.

A huge congratulations to three of our officers from the Dorset Police Special Constabulary for winning an award at our recent ceremony 🏆

Acting Special Superintendent Robert Ahmadi and Temporary Special Sergeant David Rodger received the Special Constabulary Team of the Year Award for their leadership, commitment, and their management and support to football policing.

By forming a dedicated team of special constables, they have helped to ease the pressure on frontline teams by resourcing the policing response to Premier League and non-league football events here in the county. This work requires close collaborative working to agree a shared level of commitment and support, ensuring that the programme is consistently resourced with the right skills - the team has supported 22 events over the past 12 months, with a further eight planned!

Special Constable Paul Brown was awarded the Special Constable of the Year Award for his commitment, operational skill and community spirit. Paul regularly exceeds expected hours, having volunteered 756 hours in just 12 months – more than three times the commitment asked of our volunteer police officers. Paul has completed over 130 duties, mostly with Wareham Neighbourhood Policing Team and patrol units, where he is an intrinsic part of the team and can be relied upon to support local policing in any role.

Congratulations on receiving your well-deserved awards and thank you for sacrificing your time to give back to our communities!

Have you ever considered joining as a special constable and volunteer your time to make a difference? We are recruiting now.
