Today we're celebrating a huge milestone- 10 years of Cheshire CARES!

For the past decade, our dedicated Victim CARES Officers have been supporting people affected by a wide range of crimes, making sure each person receives the help, when they need it. The support is based on need and can be done at the time of reporting, allowing the victims access to the service at the earliest opportunity.

We are proud of how far the service has come along and the impact we have made on the victims that we have supported over the years, and we shall continue to provide an excellent service delivering quality support.

This month, we stand together to raise awareness, support survivors, and speak out against abuse in all its forms.

Domestic Violence can happen to anyone- regardless of age, gender or background. It's not always physical; it can be emotional, financial or psychological. Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and respected.

Let's break the silence, spread compassion, and work toward a world free from violence!

If you are a victim of Domestic Abuse in any form and require support, please contact us at Cheshire CARES on 01606 366336

This is a test, but is important to stay informed and prepared!

On Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm all compatible mobile phones and tablets will receive an alert, make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate. The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if thereโ€™s a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. Regular testing ensures the system is functioning correctly, should it need to be used in a life-threatening emergency.

This is potentially dangerous for domestic abuse victims who have a second hidden phone from perpetrators. Please be aware and prepare as best you can to ensure you stay safe!

Our report, 'Suffering for Justice', revealed three quarters of sexual violence victim-survivors faced questions rooted in r**e myths during cross examination.

The research focuses on the experience of sexual violence victim-survivors where the defendant has been charged, and their case has gone through the court process. It highlights the main challenges they face at every stage of this process - before, during and after giving evidence.
