They’ve done it! Congratulations to Becky, Hayley, Heather, Jessica, Jonathan, Saul and Scott, who have completed their five‑day Bob Graham route challenge in the Lake District, raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Over the five days, they covered 66 miles, climbed around 28,000 feet and reached 42 of the highest peaks in the Lakes, including Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw.

Walking for around eight hours each day, the team battled strong winds, heavy rain and even hailstones to steadily make their way to the finish.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far.

There’s still time to donate: https://orlo.uk/aLfRH

A special mention and thanks to Tommy and Louise from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, Matt and Sam from Warrington Fire Station for their help and support, Jack (Powey Lane Fire Station) and Ant (Knutsford Fire Station) for joining the team on the first two days, and Tesco in Crewe for providing drinks and snacks to help the team through the long days.

The team set off from Wasdale Head in the rain and finished at Honister Slate in, you guessed it, more rain.

Despite the conditions, they covered 11 miles, reached 9 summits, and climbed 6,000ft. A great effort with just one day remaining.
