Building success in the Fens

We took a bit of a leap when moving to our current site on Friday the 13th of September 2013. We moved our small team of birds from our back garden to this wonderful 4 acre site at a very speedy pace starting aviary building on a Monday & moving over on Friday of the same week.

Before life as Fens Falconry our team of birds came out with us to various country shows and schools and we enjoyed walks through orchards with them during the week. Despite not being too busy with events, we were always outside with the birds on a daily basis and needed more space to expand. This was the first site we identified and it met all of our requirements and the plan started to come together.

We are massive advocates of local business and community engagement - our logo was designed by a secondary school student in Norfolk & we only use local companies for supplies.

Since moving here in 2013, a lot of work has been done to make the place look welcoming and suitable for all manner of wildlife as well as our birds. We have built most of what you will see here ourselves with some help from local carpenters - all with one wheelbarrow because every time we buy a new one the old one breaks! We’ve given up and this one has lasted for years so far! 🤞
