70+ experts. Two packed days. One shared goal: accelerating maritime nuclear.

A huge thank you to Meg Albrecht for her exceptional leadership in chairing NEMO Working Group 1, and to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make our Maritime Regulations Workshop such a success.

Our sincere thanks also to the fantastic team at Lloyd’s Register for hosting us so professionally and providing an excellent venue for two days of collaboration.

Most importantly, thank you to our NEMO members. With more than 70 participants from across the nuclear, maritime, regulatory, legal, classification and insurance communities, the level of engagement was exceptional.

The quality of the presentations, insightful questions, lively discussions and valuable networking demonstrated just how much momentum is building behind civil nuclear applications at sea.

Over the two days, we explored the regulatory pathways needed to enable the safe, secure and environmentally responsible deployment of nuclear-powered ships and floating nuclear power plants. The enthusiasm, expertise and willingness to collaborate were evident throughout.

NEMO is only as strong as its members, and this workshop showcased exactly what can be achieved when such a diverse group of experts come together with a shared purpose.

So incredibly sad to hear of the death of Ann Widdicombe, a truly remarkable lady who by all accounts had a big heart, was a wonderful friend, a dedicated public servant and a formidable politician who fought for what she truly believed in….💙💙💙

Thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends, particularly given the investigation into her untimely death which must make this sad time even more challenging for them all.

Huge applause and congratulations to one of our fabulous members Andrew Leslau⁩ for being the brains, the brawn and the bravery behind the wonderful Universe concert at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London on Thursday night.

An amazing night of talent from across the globe brought together with the aim of encouraging and facilitating improved relations between the Jewish and Muslim communities, a very worthwhile cause! Well done Andrew and we hope it’s the first of many….🎶🎶🎶…and makes the difference that we all want to see💙💙
