⚠️ ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – EXPECT DELAYS ⚠️

Residents and motorists are advised that essential works will be taking place from Thursday 2 July for 8 days, with the road closed between 10.00am and 4.00pm daily.

🚧 Road Closed
📅 2 July – 9 July (inclusive)
🕙 10.00am – 4.00pm each day
🚫 No Parking within the works area

Please allow extra time for your journeys and follow any signed diversion routes. Access may be restricted during working hours and significant disruption is expected, particularly at peak times.

⚠️ Please note that adverse weather conditions may affect the programme and could result in changes to the schedule.

Heat exhaustion can make you feel unwell and experience dizziness, headaches, tiredness, excessive sweating and feeling or being sick.

It's not usually a medical emergency, as long as you can cool down within 30 minutes.

If someone has heat exhaustion:

✅ Move them to a cool place
✅ Remove all unnecessary clothing like a jacket or socks
✅ Give them plenty of water – isotonic sports drinks or oral rehydration sachets can also help replace salt lost through sweating
✅ Cool their skin – spray or sponge them with cool water and fan them
✅ Stay with them until they're better

Early closing for Community Recycling Centres today.

Due to the red extreme heat warning that is in place and to protect staff working outside, Surrey's community recycling centres (CRCs) will be closed from 1pm on Thursday 25 June 2026.

Earlier bin collections this week 📢

Due to the high temperatures, our bin crews will be starting collections earlier than usual to help keep them safe in the heat.

♻️ Please make sure your bins are out the night before, as collections will take place from 5.30am for the rest of the week.

Hi Everyone just to remind everyone about the Pavilion Project consultation. Come and see our plans for this super new community building being finalised and talk to our transport consultant. We know its hot weather but it will be held in a shady area and there will be plenty of water to drink!
