πŸ—“οΈ Tue 22 Sept
πŸ•™ 10am - 4pm
πŸ“ Boyn Grove Library SL6 5BF

Known as Community Lives, we operate two services from Boyn Grove:

The Dementia Resource Centre is our specialist hub for older adults with a formal diagnosis of dementia. Here, people can socialise, stay active, enjoy sensory experiences, and receive tailored support designed to enhance their quality of life. We are recruiting:
β€’ Full-time; 37 hours | Mon-Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm

Our Learning Disability Day Service provides stimulating activities and opportunities for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities to enjoy the things that matter, stay mentally and physically active and develop new skills. We are recruiting:
β€’ Full-time; 37 hours | Mon-Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm
β€’ Part-time; 22.5 hours | Wed-Fri 8.30am – 4.30pm (12-month fixed term contract)

Our teams put on a range of activities and events throughout the day - there is honestly never a quiet moment at Boyn Grove! From singing, cooking and games to sports, day trips and pub lunches - even taking on a 5k challenge - you name it and we probably do it!

Community Lives is about enriching the lives of the people we support. This means we are looking for people who are creative, musical, artistic - whatever interests and hobbies you bring to the table, we'll likely find a way to include it. Most importantly, we want someone who is passionate about helping people live their best lives

In addition to enthusiastic and compassionate individuals, we are looking for people who:
β€’ Hold a valid manual UK driving licence as the role will involve driving our vehicles to transport people.
β€’ Have right to work in the UK - we do not offer sponsorship and you must have at least 12 months on your current visa.

This role does include some care responsibilities, but previous experience isn't needed as we provide full training and support. Our current teams are made up of people from a wide range of backgrounds - care, schools, nurseries, even corporate finance and marketing. Bring your passion and we'll take care of the rest.

Full-time salary is Β£24,791.39 and our weekday hourly rate is Β£12.85

If you're looking for a change, this is your opportunity to find out more about us and how you can get involved.

Support Workers Needed!
If you're passionate about making a difference in people's lives and hold a valid UK driving licence, we've got a job for you! 🫡

Thank you to everyone who shared and tagged for our recent HCA Recruitment Event; it was a huge success!

We're recruiting kind, caring and proactive people to join our teams in supporting people with learning disabilities across the Wokingham and Windsor & Maidenhead boroughs. We have a number of different vacancies, including roles based in one location and out in the community, and you may be asked to drive one of our vehicles to help people we support get out and about πŸš—

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will be helping adults with learning disabilities and autism to remain as independent as possible. That could mean accompanying them on trips to the shops and appointments, helping with meal prep and cooking, and ensuring people remain in good health. Every person we support is unique; they have their own individual needs and ways they like to do things, so being patient and understanding is crucial.

As we expand our teams to provide more support, we are looking for people to join the following services:

πŸ“ Brambletye in Finchampstead
πŸ“ Rushall Place in Winnersh
πŸ“ Loddon Short Breaks Service in Earley
πŸ“ Winston Court in Pinkneys Green, Maidenhead
πŸ“ Tithe Barn in South Bray, Maidenhead

Positions are also available in other services across Maidenhead, Wokingham, Winnersh and Woodley.

Let's be clear - these are care roles, but our goal is to put smiles on faces and help people to achieve their goals. Responsibilities will vary depending on people's individual needs and abilities, but you will most likely be helping people to wash and maintain good hygiene, as well as administering medication and helping with mobility.

It can be hard work at times, but a career in care is unlike any other job ✨

Experience in care would be beneficial, but is not needed as we provide full training and support as you begin your journey with us. This includes classroom-based training with our Learning and Development team, eLearning and shadowing our existing team. All training is paid and is done at your pace to ensure you are comfortable and confident.

We have a number of roles available, including for people who do not hold a driving licence - but these locations are our priority currently.

We offer great benefits when you join and our hourly rates are competitive - Β£12.85ph Mon-Fri and Β£14.38 Sat-Sun
