Road Closure :
Old Wokingham Road, Crowthorne between its junctions with Easthampstead Road and The Borough Boundary
• Dates: 11th -15th October 2026
• Timings: 24/7
Please be advised that Wokingham Borough Council, as the Highway Authority, is issuing a notice under Section 14(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. No vehicles shall proceed along Old Wokingham Road, Crowthorne between Easthampstead Road and The Borough Boundary during the specified period.
Alternative Route:
Please follow the signed diversion route.
Reason for Closure:
This prohibition is necessary to enable contractors from South East Water to repair a burst main in the carriageway in safety.
Access:
Access to properties or businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained wherever possible.
Duration and Timings:
The restriction will commence on 11th October 2026 and continue for a period not exceeding 21 days. It will only be in effect while the required traffic signs are lawfully displayed. The works are expected to be completed by 15th October 2026.
Compliance:
The restriction will apply only during periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
