Join us next Saturday, 27th June in Peach Place for music in Peach Place to celebrate Armed Forces Day
St Sebastian Wokingham Band will be playing:
🇬🇧 11am - 12 noon

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for all the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, Veterans and Cadets.

The usual tables and chairs will be out in Peach Place, but feel free to bring along camping chairs to guarantee a seat, then relax and enjoy the music.

❗Please note: the band may not be able to perform if the weather is poor.

St Sebastian Wokingham Band will be playing a selection of well-know tunes both traditional and modern

It's going to be another warm day for Park Yoga Wokingham this Sunday so yes, Park Yoga is on, and back at Howard Palmer Gardens after it's little detour to Langborough Rec last week.

🌞 As well as being International Yoga Day, this Sunday, 21st June, is Father's Day, the Summer Solstice and....a Park Yoga / Yogi Tea Party weekend!

After the session, join the team and your fellow Yogis for a cuppa and chat. Park Yoga will provide the tea bag, just bring a mug, a flask of hot water, sit, relax and enjoy the morning! ☕️

On the 18th July will you step into a world of imagination, music and enchantment this summer? The Enchanted Performers Theatre Company EPTC will be on Elms Field with their delightful children’s show Letters to the Fairies.

The show follows Bea, a little girl whose garden flowers won’t grow. Her grandmother believes the fairies are unhappy because Bea has stopped believing in them. Determined to make things right, Bea writes a letter to the fairies and with the audience’s help, a magical journey begins...

The Wokingham Lions Classic Motor Show returns to Elms Field on Saturday 20 June 2026! 🚗🏍️✨
⏰10am - 3pm

This popular event will showcase an impressive range of vehicles, from classic and modern cars to motorcycles and some truly unique specials. This year, visitors can look forward to an even larger display of motorcycles, including the iconic Indian Motorcycle. 🏍️🔥

And that's not all! Keep your eyes on the skies for a flypast by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at approximately 1pm. ✈️🇬🇧

There will also be live music 🎶, food and drink vendors 🍔☕, charity and community stalls, and a motor-themed raffle and tombola in aid of The Ollie Young Foundation. Plus, younger visitors can enjoy taking part in the Lion Hunt! 🦁

On Sunday, artists armed with easels, watercolours, acrylics, crayons, pastels, and their all-important chairs and umbrellas 🎨☂️ took to the streets of Wokingham for the town’s very first En Plein Air art competition, organised by R Young Art Gallery

It was fascinating to see each artwork evolve throughout the day, with every artist capturing their own unique view and style. 🖌️✨

At 4pm, artists, judges and members of the public gathered in Market Place to admire the finished pieces and hear the results. Winners were announced, while visitors also had their say through the People's Choice Award. 🏆👏

We were delighted to provide grant funding to help get this wonderful event off the ground and hope it will become a regular feature of Wokingham’s cultural calendar.

Huge congratulations to the organisers, staff, volunteers and everyone involved in bringing the day together. It was a fantastic celebration of creativity, community and local talent, all enjoyed in glorious sunshine. ☀️🎨😊

🧘‍♀️🌳 PARK YOGA – THIS SUNDAY: CHANGE OF VENUE 🌳🧘‍♂️

A gentle reminder for all our Park Yoga Wokingham fans that this Sunday's session (14th June) will take place at Langborough Recreation Ground (RG40 2BS) at 9.30am.

This is a one-off venue change due to an event taking place in Wokingham town centre throughout the day.

🚗 Please continue to park in Cockpit Path Car Park, as Langborough Recreation Ground is just a short walk down the lane beside the car park.

✅ Normal service will resume the following week at our usual location.

We hope you're enjoying the sessions so far, and we apologise for any inconvenience this temporary change may cause.

Why not spend the day soaking up some sunshine and creativity as Wokingham 'En Plein Air' brings the town to life on 14th June! 🌳🏛️🖌️

Think Landscape Artist of the Year, but right here in Wokingham! Artists of all abilities will be setting up at locations across the town, capturing the views in front of them and creating their own masterpieces against the clock. 🎨⏰

Take a stroll around town, discover the artists at work, enjoy our beautiful streets and green spaces, and watch the artwork take shape throughout the day.

🖼️ From 4pm, head to Market Place for the open-air exhibition, where you can view (and even buy!) the finished pieces, vote in the People's Choice Award, and see who takes home the prizes. 🏆

The awards ceremony starts at 6pm

You could mak a day of it: stop off at your favourite café or restaurant or follow the Mosaic or Blue Plaque Trail whilst youre out and about☕🍰

⚠️😔 Elms Field Play Park Trampoline Update 😔⚠️

We're sorry to say that the children's trampoline at Elms Field Play Park will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

We received reports that a group of youths had ripped up sections of the protective matting surrounding the trampoline. While some of the missing pieces were recovered from various locations around the park and field, several sections have been damaged beyond repair or are still missing.

🔧 We are currently working with our suppliers to source replacement parts and get the trampoline back up and running as quickly as possible. We will share an update and expected timeline as soon as we have more information.

It's disappointing that the actions of a few can impact so many children and families who enjoy this much-loved facility. 💔

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out the necessary repairs. 💚
