You may have seen the recent item published in the media concerning proposals for budget cuts within the NCC Library Services. This may have implications for Wollaston Library. A six week consultation period, closing 1 December, is currently taking place.
The Wollaston Library Friends group will be meeting to discuss their response. As part of this, it is likely that we will hold a meeting at the library so we can hear your views. In addition, you may contact NCC directly to put forward your own views, as part of the consultation.
The Friends group will be working hard towards retaining Wollaston Library for the village. We are hopeful that we can find a positive solution.
Margaret Docker
Chair Wollaston Library Friends Group.
