Future of Wolverhampton Council Housing project consultation -

The consultation will run for 10 weeks from 10 August – 19 October 2026.

Have your say on the Future of Wolverhampton Council Housing.

City of Wolverhampton Council is reviewing how council housing services are delivered in the city as it looks to ensure the best delivery model is in place for the benefit of residents.

As part of the planning for the Future of Wolverhampton Council Housing, the council is keen to ensure tenants’ voices are at the heart of the discussion.

We are therefore seeking the views of council tenants through a consultation that will end on 19 October 2026.

We want to know what the most important things about council housing are to you.

Across other areas of the council, Adult Social Care, Children's Services, Community Support, Environmental Services and Community Safety, we are introducing a more local, place-based way of working. This means focusing on the specific needs of different communities and neighbourhoods.

We want you to love your home – it’s your place to feel safe and secure.

However, it is important to remember that although it is your home, it is owned by Wolverhampton City Council and managed by Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board.

This means that if you have a tenancy with us, you must get written permission before making any changes/improvements to your home or garden.

The only exception is painting and decorating, which you can do without asking us first.

A few residents on the estate have received letters from a company claiming to be working with City of Wolverhampton Council, stating that they will be visiting to assess the property for solar panels. This is not true – they are bogus callers and are not working with the Council. Please avoid letting them in to your home.
