πŸšŒπŸ’™ Learning Disability Week – Lachlan’s Story πŸ’™πŸšŒ

For Lachlan, public transport is more than just getting from A to B β€” it’s about freedom, independence and staying connected. 🌟

But travelling isn’t always easy. Reading bus timetables can be challenging, especially when they use the 24-hour clock ⏰. Delays, buses not turning up, blocked wheelchair spaces and a lack of awareness from other passengers can make journeys even harder.

You can help make a difference by:
πŸ’Ί Offering your seat to disabled or elderly passengers
🀝 Being patient and understanding when transport is delayed
β™Ώ Respecting wheelchair spaces and accessibility needs
❀️ Showing kindness and consideration to fellow travellers

As part of Staffordshire County Council’s Celebrating Differences campaign, they’re sharing stories like Lachlan’s to help raise awareness and promote inclusive travel for everyone.
