All about us 👋🏻

Hi, thank you for finding our page!

We are Dan and Jess, and you may know us from The Active Club - a sports business working within local schools, provider of children’s parties, community sessions and events.

The Active Club started 7 years ago this September and began as small family run business that provided PE provision in a school and Active Amigos - a mobile soft play and apparatus play group style session for Under 5’s!
There has been expansion and growth over the years in many areas, but our Active Amigos (where it all started) sessions led to us being given the amazing opportunity to launch a soft play centre in our home town of Wombwell. The project has been a long time in the making, and we are excited to finally be able to share this with you as it nears completion.
Over the past year we have been based at The Active Club Hub - the historic old Wombwell swimming baths - and have had the pleasure of launching The Darts Club which holds weekly academy nights, adults darts and tournaments, along with hosting other activities there such as a fashion show, An Evening with Dennis Priestley, paint and sip night, family darts and games nights, Macmillan Dartathons, football sessions and children’s nerf and sports parties.
Our other activities will still continue, as our darts has moved to the purpose builtupstairs area, and we hope that The Active Club Hub will become a real base for the community of all ages to enjoy. (We are looking forward to our line dancing session that starts this September!)

Having two wonderful boys of our own, we know how essential play is, the importance of activities and exercise for children, social experiences and time out for parents whilst the kids burn off some steam - so the opportunity to open a soft play centre was a no brainer to us!

We have a fantastic team and family around us and we will be looking to add to this over the coming weeks as we prepare for opening!☺️

We can’t wait to welcome you and hope that this brings something great for the families of Wombwell.
