Just a note to everyone in Beattock, there is a note on the post box telling us that the pick up from this box is changing from 4pm to an early morning pick up as from 19th February.
I personally think that this may have an impact on the service you will expect,especially if you use the first class stamp. Presently the 4pm goes into Moffat post office to go that evening, and then starts its journey on the day its posted. If we now have an early morning pick up it will then wait until the 5pm leaving Moffat. So anything posted during the day will then have to wait until the following morning pick up, putting an extra day into the cycle unless you are an early bird.
Just thought I would make everyone aware of the change.

Totally unacceptable! Yet again, the minority giving the majority of dog owners a bad name. If you are not prepared to clean up after your dog, don't have one.

Apparently the red bins won't be collected today in Beattock, the bin lorry is off the road. There will be an official notification from D&G to follow. They won't be picked up until the next time they are due. Best to bring red bins in, especially in light of the wild forecast heading our way.
