โ๏ธ Another hot week ahead across North Devon, and we know many of you will be heading to the beach, enjoying the countryside, or making the most of the coast paths around Woolacombe and Mortehoe ๐๐
Weโre incredibly lucky to live, work and holiday in such a beautiful part of the world โ from Woolacombe Beach and Barricane to the surrounding countryside and moorland ๐ฟโค๏ธ
As the temperatures rise, please help us keep our community and environment safe by following a few simple tips:
๐ฅช Leave the BBQ at home and pack a picnic instead
๐ฅ No campfires, fire pits or bonfires on the beach or in the countryside
๐ญ Make sure ci******es are fully extinguished and disposed of properly
๐งด Take your litter home with you, especially glass bottles
๐ Avoid parking on dry grass where hot exhausts can accidentally start fires
Wildfires and outdoor fires can spread incredibly quickly in dry conditions, putting wildlife, local communities and emergency services at risk๐๐๐ฆ
If you see a fire, call 999 immediately and, if possible, use the what3words app to help emergency services find you quickly ๐
Have a safe and enjoyable week in the sunshine โ๏ธ๐๐
