✨ SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL IS COMING TO KIDDERMINSTER… ✨
There has been an incredible amount of hard work happening behind the scenes at Cheeky Monkeys recently, and we’re finally ready to share a little more about one of our biggest and most exciting projects yet.
📍 CHEEKY MONKEYS — KIDDERMINSTER 2027
When we started looking at Kidderminster, we knew we didn’t simply want to create another Alternative Provision.
We wanted to create something much bigger.
Our vision is to develop a flagship SEND centre where education, specialist support and, in time, family respite can come together in one incredible environment.
And we can’t wait to start bringing that vision to life. 💙💚
🏫 GROUND FLOOR — SEN ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
The ground floor will become home to our specialist SEN Alternative Provision.
We want to create an environment designed around the children who use it — with individualised learning spaces, sensory and therapeutic areas, creative spaces and opportunities for children to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
At Cheeky Monkeys, we don’t believe children should have to fit into an environment.
We create the environment around the child.
🧩 FIRST FLOOR — SPECIALIST CONSULTATION & THERAPY ROOMS
Our plans for the first floor take the project another step further.
We aim to create dedicated consultation and therapy rooms designed to accommodate visiting professionals and specialist services, including:
💬 Speech & Language Therapy (SALT)
🧠 Educational Psychology
👐 Occupational Therapy
The vision is to create welcoming, purpose-designed spaces where children and families can access specialist support in an environment where they already feel comfortable and understood.
💙 AND THEN THERE’S THE NEXT PART OF OUR VISION…
In time, we plan to develop a dedicated SEND Family Respite Facility.
And we want to approach respite a little differently.
Our vision is for families to be able to come and stay with us for a weekend, spend quality time together and enjoy some of the fantastic attractions that Kidderminster and the surrounding area have to offer.
Then, when parents need some time for themselves, our specialist team can take over the care and support of their child.
Parents could enjoy an evening out, have a meal together or simply have some much-needed time to themselves — knowing their child is safe, happy and being cared for by a team experienced in supporting children with additional needs.
With dedicated bedrooms for parents and children, we want to create somewhere that feels welcoming, comfortable and family-centred.
Because sometimes supporting a child also means supporting the people who care for them every single day. ❤️
🌟 MORE THAN AN ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
That’s what we want Kidderminster to become.
A place for education.
A place for specialist support.
A place for families.
A place where children are understood, celebrated and given every opportunity to thrive.
There is still a huge amount of work ahead of us and the project will develop carefully and in stages, but the work behind the scenes is already well underway.
We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds and, over the coming months, we’ll be taking you along on the journey as we begin transforming our plans into reality.
