πŸ“’ Notice to Residents

Due to a breakdown of the cemetery ride on mower, grass in some areas of the burial grounds may be longer than we would normally like for this time of year. The mower is scheduled to be repaired on 25 June, after which maintenance will resume as soon as possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding. 🌿

πŸŽ‰ EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR COMMUNITY! πŸ¦πŸ“š

We are delighted to finally announce that the Town Council has successfully secured the permanent Banking Hub in its current location, subject to contracts, where the temporary hub has been operating for the past two years.

Over that time, customers have become familiar with visiting this location, and it was important to the Town Council to retain the convenience of having two valued community services under one roof.

To create a larger and more accessible space for Banking Hub customers, some improvements will be made within the library building. These changes will provide better customer flow, a dedicated entrance for Banking Hub users and enhanced accessibility. We want to reassure residents that these works will not affect the library service, which will continue to operate as smoothly as it always has.

While these improvements are being carried out, the temporary Banking Hub will remain in operation and will relocate to an upstairs area. Banking Hub staff will be happy to assist any customers who require support in using the lift.

The Town Council is extremely pleased to have worked collaboratively with the County Council Library Services team and Cash Access UK to secure this long-term investment for our town.

Importantly, by keeping the Banking Hub within Town Council-owned property, it will provide a sustainable source of income for the Town Council. This income can then be reinvested into maintaining and improving public assets for the benefit of our community.

This is fantastic news for residents and helps ensure continued access to essential banking services for years to come.

ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS

You may have seen the installation of some new Bat Boxes at Pershore Cemetery. Thanks to the Wildlife team at Wychavon, we have been able to install some lovely new homes for our furry, flying neighbours.

As well as this, the Cemetery Committee have recently purchased some wildflower seed to be sown in the autumn in the field adjacent to the Cemetery.

This is all part of the Pershore Town Council environmental plan - small actions to support big impact.

They're up!!

Huge thanks to two of our wonderful Councillors, who supported our Grounds Team and our Administration Assistant (who ran a very tight ship!) on the deployment of our Floral Display Scheme.

These baskets are a gorgeous addition to Pershore, bringing colour and vibrancy to the centre of town and you can't help but smile when you see them!

We would love for more business to be involved in purchasing one of these in the upcoming years - wouldn't it be great to have the whole High Street blooming - if you are interested, please email [email protected].

Not sure if you will be able to spot our Grounds Maintenance Supervisor working down on King Georges Field today.....🀣🀣

The task of removing the moss and debris from the edges of the culvert is a challenging and rather unpleasant one, but it needs to be done, and John took one for the team in the rain today to get the job done πŸ’ͺ

We are so excited to see the final results of this project 🀩
