Adoption is a lifelong commitment providing a loving, permanent family for
a child or children who cannot be brought up by their birth family. When you adopt you take on all the legal rights and responsibilities for your child. Parenting adopted children, whilst presenting unique challenges, can be hugely rewarding. You will need to have qualities to see your child through the ups and the downs
that they will face throughout their life. If you are able to offer commitment, time, love, patience and a desire to understand how your child sees the world then the rewards will be limitless. Lots of people are able to adopt and we are interested in your skills and capacity to parent and not in your status. Adopters are needed from a range of different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds and you will be welcomed by Worcestershire County Council's Adoption Agency and treated with fairness and respect. We need adopters who have a range of life experiences, knowledge and skills and have the ability to be sensitive and empathetic and a commitment to making a difference to a child's life. We will work alongside you preparing you and supporting you to provide what the children need.
