The final part to meet the team:- Our drivers and their mates – the driving force behind the business (literally).

Ask them for a photo of themselves on the group WhatsApp and they don’t all comply!!! But that’s because they’re too busy doing their jobs and serving our customers, so all is forgiven! Our cctv footage will have to suffice for this post!

Early starts, long days, all weathers, tight sites, traffic and everything in between – they keep everything moving and always go the extra mile (sometimes quite literally!).

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and good humour they bring every single day. If you see them out and about, give them a wave 👋🩶🧡

Meet the team:- Father and Son , Dale and James Robinson!

James - Managing Director - the founder and driving force of DUKE. James has a relentless passion for customer service and has a remarkable talent to carry out any task with his phone glued to his ear! (that’s logistics for you). Don’t invite him to your wedding!!!! 😂

James is a hands on leader, highly competitive yet calm and collected in nature and one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. He has such drive and determination to continue to build DUKE to be a leading transport provider.

Dale - Chairman and champion delegator !!! Dale retired 3 times previously and at the ripe of age of 54, decided retirement wasn’t for him!! Tempted back by James in 2020, he defines the vision for DUKE, sets the pace for growth and gives the staff the confidence and tools to deliver.

We also asked him to comment on this bio and he delegated that job out too!!!

Outside of work, Dale and James are avid gym goers and can both be found in heavy competition on who can bench press the most! Who’s your money on?

Meet the team:- introducing our Operations Director, David Leighton-Berry but no one really calls him David ! Affectionately known as Whip, he specialises in road transport operations, compliance, performance and process management.

If you’ve seen Yellowstone, Whip is our Rip, not family by blood but by choice. His loyalty, dedication and hard work for DUKE is something else.

Whip is everyone’s go to person and is as happy changing a wagon gearbox in the depot as he is in the boardroom.

Fun fact: Whip spent 8 years at her majesty’s pleasure. Not prison, but serving as a NCO in the Grenadier Guards, protecting many Royal Residences and tours of Bosnia Africa and Germany.

Sarah also writes all social media posts 😂🤪

Sarah is our PR and Communications Manager and takes on all the jobs the Chairman doesn’t want to do! (That’s her husband) !!!
