Thursday Club – Memory, Skills & Friendships
Our Thursday Club is a fun, social session designed to help people keep their minds active, build confidence and enjoy meaningful time with others.
This season, our members have been creating their own games, which has given them opportunities to use their memory, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills while having fun and being creative.
For carers, the club offers a safe, welcoming and purposeful place where their loved one can spend time independently, meet friends and enjoy activities with people who understand and value them.
Why should carers bring their loved ones?
It’s not just about keeping busy. Our sessions give people a chance to:
🧠 Exercise their memory and thinking skills
🗣️ Practise communication and speech
🤝 Make friendships and reduce isolation
🎲 Develop games and activities together
💪 Build confidence and independence
😊 Have fun and look forward to something each week
And for carers, it means having a little time for themselves, knowing their loved one is spending time in a friendly, supportive environment — engaged, included and having fun.

What we did in Summer (continued) - Wednesdays at Highdowns court.
Our Wednesday Arts & Crafts Club gives people a welcoming, social space where they can be creative, try new activities and spend time with others.
We do activities such as embroidery, painting and other crafts, giving people the opportunity to explore their creativity at their own pace. The club can help build confidence, concentration, coordination and practical skills, while also providing a chance to make friends and enjoy a sense of achievement.
For carers, it can provide a positive, purposeful activity outside the home, in a friendly environment where the person can feel included, supported and valued.
In short: it’s a chance to create, connect, learn and have fun!

Friday 24th July 2026 - Lovett Hub, BN12 6HB. It was national cocktail day so we did Mocktails that went down a treat. We also managed to bring some rescued foods - special thanks to The National Lottery for funding us to continue this incredible work of bringing people together as well as thanks to UKHarvest for continuing to supply us with free foods. All welcome, come and see us soon - we are open every friday 10:30 - 2:30.
